The largest shopping center in Cypruswanted to offer customers a reliable space to charge their electrical vehicles for free in 2022.
And at EVCOME we love to provide solutions, so we worked together with our partner EK Maximum Power to install electric car charging stations in the outdoor parking lot.
The idea
As a home to leading global brands, Mall prides itself in giving its clients access to the newest and most innovative products and services possible while contributing to the protection of the environment.
Mall ,the largest shopping center in Cyprus, is the ultimate destination for young and older, families and groups that promises to surprise, excite and please everyone with something incredible every day. Mall hosts a huge range of international brands and unlimited options for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Mall prides itself in bringing new innovative and pioneering services for its clients, making it a one-stop-shop for individuals and families alike, while contributing to the protection of the environment.
In Cyprus there is already an increasing demand for electric vehicles. The Cyprus government is supporting the purchase of electric cars through cash incentive plans.
To facilitate the increasing demand for electric vehicle chargers in Cyprus, the shopping center wanted to offer electric charging stations free of charge to visitors for the whole of 2022.
EVCOME teamed up with EK Maximum Power, partner of EVCOME in Cyprus, to install two electric car charging stations in the outdoor parking lot of the Mall.
The exciting move means Mall is the first shopping center in Cyprus to install E-charger stations on its premises.
The results are outstanding!
This installation has contributed to increased customer satisfaction at the Mall with visitors delighted to be able to charge their cars, free of charge during their stay, using the EVCOME stations.
The mall has received excellent feedback from their many visitors applauding the shopping center for taking great steps towards becoming more environmentally friendly.
And there is more to come.
Cyprus has set a national goal that by 2030, 25 per cent of new vehicle registrations will be electric with the ultimate goal of increasing this percentage to 100 per cent by 2035.
Over 4,500 people have applied for the government’s latest support plan in January 2022 and there is a significant amount of electric car orders waiting to be delivered in 2022.
